Fired Up BBQ is quickly approaching its one year anniversary at its Ocala location.
The popular food truck opened a brick and mortar restaurant in Ocala just after Christmas last year. The restaurant is the passion project of Kathy Wright Umland and her husband AJ, and has seen a large swath of community support.
Umland works alongside her daughter, Ema Belle Sexton, at the restaurant, which is located at 7870 S U.S. Hwy 441 in Ocala. The mother and daughter duo regularly sells out of products on account of their popularity with locals.
The restaurant features a variety of smoked meats and homemade barbecue sauces, as well as homemade sides made fresh daily. It serves craft beer and wine, and offers both indoor and outdoor seating and music, as well as Cornhole.
Fired Up BBQ is currently open Wednesday through Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. In addition to their dining service, the restaurant offers catering.
