Art exhibit celebrating local Afro-American and Latinx artists begins in November

A new art exhibit celebrating Afro-American and Latinx artists in the Ocala community begins on November 5.

Converging Community & Culture, presented by Marion Cultural Alliance, is coming to the Brick City Center for the Arts (23 SW Broadway Street) from November 5 through November 27.

An opening reception will be held on Friday, November 5 at 5 p.m. Food and cocktails will be provided, and attendees can meet the participating artists in this month’s gallery.

The artists participating in the upcoming exhibit include: Charles Eady, Jillian Ramsammy, Santiago Traverso, Maria Isabel Lopez, Marutxi Jauregui, Moises A. Brador, Diantha Dove, Cain Davis, and Dr. Sheni Meghani.

The gallery hours are Tuesday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturdays, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
