Marion County Sheriff’s Office seeking donations to provide Christmas experience to at-risk children

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office is asking the community for donations to help provide a memorable Christmas experience for at-risk children in the community.

The sheriff’s office is partnering with the Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches to raise donations that will benefit the children staying at the ranch locations. Those children may not have anywhere else to go during the holidays, according to a social media post from MCSO.

Over the past two years, MCSO has gathered a Christmas list from all the children staying at the ranches and has been able to provide each child with everything for which they asked.

The sheriff’s office is accepting financial donations at its main location (692 NW 30th Avenue in Ocala) and all other district offices.

For more information, or to make an online donation, please visit the Marion County Sheriff’s Office donation webpage.
