Multiple officers were in pursuit, and a witness told the officers that Sawyers had ran inside the furniture store.

An OPD lieutenant and K-9 officer searched the inside of the store, and they located Sawyers inside a stairwell.

A search of Sawyer’s truck revealed multiple firearms, over 30 grams of methamphetamine, cocaine, marijuana, a scale, over $1,300 in cash, and multiple small bags.

Sawyers was arrested and transported to Marion County Jail where he faces numerous felony charges including weapon and ammo possession by a felon, drug possession, drug trafficking, and removing the serial number from a firearm.

He is currently being held on $115,000 bond and a court date has been scheduled on December 7 at 9:00 a.m., according to jail records.
