The officer went to room 104 and knocked on the door. Daniel did not respond, and the officer was informed that the room’s sliding glass door had been broken.

Walking around the back of the building, the officer noticed broken glass on the ground. Inside the room, Daniel was waving around a metal pole.

The officer pulled out a taser and Daniel initially refused to drop the metal pole. Another officer arrived, and when they were about to walk through the broken sliding glass door, Daniel put down the metal pole.

According to the OPD report, the officer observed severe damage inside the hotel room. In addition to the shattered sliding glass door, the TV on the wall was smashed, the wall behind the front door had a hole in it, and the lamp near the TV was broken on the ground.

Daniel was arrested and transported to Marion County Jail where he faces a felony charge for criminal mischief over $1,000.

He is currently being held on $5,000 bond and has an upcoming court date on December 7 at 9:00 a.m., according to jail records.
