Mojo Grill vandalized, owner looking for public’s help to identify individual responsible

A Mojo Grill and Catering location in Leesburg was vandalized by an unknown individual early Tuesday morning, and the business’ owner is looking for answers.

According to security footage posted on social media by owner/operator Rondo Fernandez, an unknown individual entered the patio area of the restaurant’s Leesburg location on Tuesday, November 9, at around 12:45 a.m.

That location, which is situated at 9925 NW U.S. Highway 441, opened its doors in the spring of 2019.

In the video footage posted by Fernandez, the individual is seen pouring paint onto tables, chairs, and the floor.

This is not the first incident of vandalism at a local business this year.

In June, Ocala Police officers responded to Mojo Grill and Outback Steakhouse on East Silver Springs Boulevard in Ocala after receiving reports of a naked woman causing a commotion.

In a separate act of vandalism in June, a 76-year-old man was arrested after he defaced the work vehicle of an African American owned business vehicle with a noose and “KKK.”
