Ocala Symphony Orchestra returns to Reilly Arts Center this weekend

The Ocala Symphony Orchestra returns to the Reilly Arts Center stage this weekend for the first time in nearly two years.

The orchestra’s opening weekend performances of “Variations on Opening Night” will take place on Saturday, November 20 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, November 21 at 3 p.m. at the Reilly Arts Center located at 500 NE 9th Street in Ocala.

World-renowned pianist Jasmin Arakawa will join the OSO for Rachmaninoff’s Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini. The variation theme continues with Charles Ives’ Variations on “America” and Edward Elgar’s Enigma Variations (Variations on an Original Theme).

This weekend’s performances will mark the first time the full orchestra has performed together on the Reilly stage since February 2020, one month before the COVID-19 pandemic began.
