A classic Christmas film is being retold as a 1940s radio play beginning next week.
A stage adaptation of ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’ premiers on Friday, November 26, at 7:30 p.m. at the Ocala Civic Theatre located at 4337 E Silver Springs Boulevard.
The 90-minute play tells the story “live” from Manhattan’s WBFR studio on Christmas Eve 1946. A small cast of actors will bring the dozens of characters to life using their voices, sound effects, and the audience’s imagination.
Tickets are available for $30 (ages 19+) and $15 (ages 18 and under). There will be nineteen performances during the show’s run from November 26 to December 19.
