Marion County Parks and Recreation is hosting a Give Back Drive through December 2 to benefit those in need within the community.
In the spirit of “give and you shall receive,” Parks and Recreation is offering rewards for generous donators who drop off non-perishable food, baby food and products, and personal hygiene products.
A donation of five items earns a free entry voucher to Carney Island Recreation and Conservation Area or Ray Wayside Park ($7 value).
A donation of 20 items earns a VIP Parking Package at KP Hole Park ($20 value).
The top five donators win a free Kayak and Koffee trip down Rainbow River or Silver River ($50 value).
All donated items benefit Brother’s Keeper, Interfaith Emergency Services, and The Salvation Army.
The following drop-off locations are accepting donations:
- Parks and Recreation main office (111 SE 25th Avenue in Ocala).
- Southeastern Livestock Pavilion (2232 NE Jacksonville Road in Ocala).
- Forest Community Center (777 S Highway 314A in Ocklawaha).
