DeLuca Toyota is hosting a food drive this week to benefit local families that are struggling during the holidays.
The 36th annual ‘Share Your Christmas’ Food Drive comes to the Ocala dealership (1719 SW College Road) on Thursday, December 9 from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Each donation will be given to Second Harvest Food Bank to distribute to the hungry and less fortunate residents of Marion County.
The most needed items include canned fruits (no sugar added varieties), canned vegetables, grains (rice, pasta, crackers), ready-to-eat cereal, oatmeal, canned meat and fish (salmon or tuna), canned or dry beans, peanut butter, canned soup (reduced sodium varieties), canned chili, nutritional drinks (Ensure, Boost, etc.), baby food, diapers, and toiletries (soap, shampoo, shaving cream, etc.).
All toiletry donations must be unopened and stored separately from the food.
The annual food drive is hosted by Orlando television station WESH 2. They will be on site and broadcasting live during the donation drive.
