Allen Scott Barber, 74 , passed away December 17, 2021 in Ocala, Florida at home after a long illness. He was born March 24, 1947, in Selma, Alabama to (Clinton Barber) and Virginia Barber. Allen lived most of his life in Ocala, Fl. At the age of 20 he joined the Army and was a MP from 1965 till 1968 and in the reserves till 1972. He retired from Embarq after 42 years of service! His greatest love was his family and friends! He loved hunting and spending time in the woods, and telling about all of his adventures! His sense of humor and silly jokes will be missed by all this grandchildren! He will be truly missed at every family dinner, vacation, holiday and every day of the year! He is preceded in death by his father ClintonAllen Barber and Mother Virginia Wright Barber. He is survived by his wife Terri Shiver Barber, daughter Randi Johnson, sons Jamie Carr, Anthony Halabrin (Kyla), Andrew Halabrin (Melissa) and 14 grandchildren, Dajia Randolph, Rabeka Romeo, Patricia Reedy, Aniyah Carter, Cameron Carter, Blake Halabrin, Charlotte Carr, Jay Halabrin, David Halabrin, Sarah Halabrin, Isaiah Carter, Liam Carr, Fiona Halabrin, AJ Halabrin.
The family will receive friends at Countryside Funeral Home on December 29th from 5pm till 7pm. In lieu of flowers, requesting donations to either Hospice of Marion county or Alzheimer’s assc.
