The Florida Highway Patrol is looking for anyone who may have witnessed a fatal crash involving a bicyclist on U.S. Highway 90 in Columbia County.
According to the FHP incident report, a 2021 Kia Forte sedan driven by a 21-year-old Lake City woman was traveling east on U.S. Highway 90 near County Road 245 at around 6:50 p.m. on Monday, December 27.
A 39-year-old Lake City man was also riding a Schwinn bicycle on the roadway.
The front of the sedan struck the bicyclist, and the sedan came to a controlled stop on the north shoulder of the roadway.
The bicyclist was pronounced deceased at the scene by Century Ambulance Service.

The names of those involved in the accident were not released, per FHP policy.
