Ocala Recreation and Parks is hosting a basketball league this month for children with disabilities.
Tag Team Basketball begins on Saturday, January 8 and runs through Saturday, January 29 at the E.D. Croskey Recreation Center located at 1510 NW 4th Street in Ocala.
The month-long event gives children of all abilities the chance to learn the basics of basketball while promoting skill development and cooperation.
Each participant is paired with a buddy to ensure that everyone gets to play.
Practices are held once a week and the first game begins on Saturday, January 8 from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m.
Ages 5 and up are welcome to participate, and registration is currently available for a $20 fee per player. Volunteer coaches are also needed.
