Marion County hosting four career fairs this month

Marion County is hosting career fairs at four locations throughout the county this month.

There are more than 60 positions available across 18 departments, including Animal Services, Library, Environmental Services, Parks and Recreation, and more.

During the upcoming hiring events, the county will be providing applications and conducting on-the-spot interviews at the following locations:

  • Belleview Public Library (13145 SE Highway 484 in Belleview) on Saturday, January 8, 2022, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Dunnellon Public Library (20351 Robinson Road in Dunnellon) on Wednesday, January 12, 2022, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Marion Oaks Community Center (294 Marion Oaks Lane in Ocala) on Thursday, January 13, 2022, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Forest Community Center (777 S Highway 314A in Ocklawaha) on Wednesday, January 19, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

All full-time positions that work 35 hours or more each week are eligible for benefits that include retirement along with health, life, dental, vision, and long-term disability insurance.

According to the county, all employees have access to the Employee Wellness Center which offers fitness classes and workout machines that are accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

An Employee Assistance Program provides free benefits such as counseling, legal assistance, and personal and professional development. Employees that are enrolled in one of the county’s health insurance plans also receive free medical visits, x-rays, and other services.
