Ocala Symphony Orchestra offering free open rehearsal for students, families

Ocala Symphony Orchestra is inviting students and their families to a free open rehearsal for its upcoming concert.

The open rehearsal is being held on Friday, January 28 at 7 p.m. at the Reilly Arts Center located at 500 NE 9th Street in Ocala.

The free event will give students a behind-the-scenes look at the orchestra and how they rehearse pieces in preparation for “The Four Temperaments,” an OSO subscription concert that is being held at the Reilly Arts Center on Saturday, January 29 and Sunday, January 30.

Snacks will be provided during the open rehearsal, and those interested in attending should RSVP to info@reillyartscenter.com.

During the upcoming subscription concert, Raymond Chobaz will lead the orchestra through a psychological tour with Carl Nielsen’s Symphony No. 2 – The Four Temperaments. The orchestra will also perform Symphony No. 3 – Symphony of Selves by award-winning composer Paul Richards.

Tickets for the concert range from $15 to $40, and cost $10 for students.
