City of Ocala soliciting quotes for licensed contractor to demolish, remodel OPD’s 911 Dispatch Center

The City of Ocala is soliciting quotes for a licensed contractor to demolish and remodel the Ocala Police Department’s 911 Dispatch Center (402 S Pine Avenue in Ocala).

The request for quotes is currently posted through the City of Ocala’s Procurement and Contracting Office and runs through Thursday, February 17 at 2 p.m.

The project includes carpet replacement, painting, removal and re-installation of fire system piping, installation of fans and sound cancellation material, replacement and repair of ceiling tiles, installation of wall jacks, rewiring of 120v outlets to electrical panels and a generator, and removal of window frames and glass, according to the scope of work outlined in the request.

The contractor must be licensed as a general or building contractor in the State of Florida, according to city records. Proof of valid licensing per the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulations will be verified.
