Marion County soliciting quotes for architecture, engineering firm to provide library expansion designs

Marion County is seeking an architecture and engineering firm to provide designs for the remodel and expansion of Freedom Public Library (5870 SW 95th Street in Ocala).

The bid is currently posted through the Marion County Procurement Services and runs through Tuesday, February 8 at 3 p.m.

The project includes providing professional design, architectural, engineering, and consulting services for the remodeling of the existing 8,100 square-foot library and a library expansion of 24,000 square feet, according to the scope of work outlined in the request.

The firm must have successfully designed a minimum of three modern library projects using the procurement method of construction manager at risk with a fixed fee. A minimum of one site plan, floor plan, and concept drawing of exterior concept must be sent to Marion County along with the submittal.

The firm must submit all construction bid documents, specifications, and drawings on a compact disk (CD) or thumb drive in Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF).

Marion County anticipates the design phase to begin in April of 2022 with construction beginning by November of 2022. Construction is expected to last 12 months.
