Mack Lewis went home to be with our Lord on January 16, 2022. He was born February 24th, 1935 in Oxford, Florida to the late Butler and Katie Lewis. He has resided in Ocala his entire life. He served his community as an Ocala firefighter for 20 years. His nickname in the fire station was “Festus.” He was also a painting contractor. He loved his family and wife of almost 65 years that passed away last April. When he was younger , he loved to bass fish and travel. In later years, as health declined he became fond of Western movies. He is preceded in death by his wife Janice Lewis, his parents and twelve siblings. He is survived by his children, Deborah Lewis Hulsey(Carl), Randall Lewis(Cathy), Susan Pritchard(Craig) and Ronald Lewis(Maggie); grandchildren, Jennifer Nowlin(Darrin), Brandi K. Oliver(Alonzo), Meaghan Pritchard, Brian Pritchard(Aimee), Jennifer Mulkey, Christopher Lewis, Trenton Lewis(Sam) and Jordan Lewis and 17 great grandchildren, brothers, Moe Lewis(Gloria) and Joe Lewis.
A Graveside Service will be held January 21st, at 11:00 a.m., at First Baptist Church of Silver Springs, 5151 NE 35th Street, Silver Springs, Florida.
