2022 Young Artist Competition winners crowned

The 2022 Young Artist Competition crowned two winners during an Honors Recital performance this past weekend.

The recital was held on Saturday, January 22 at the Reilly Arts Center located at 500 NE 9th Street in Ocala.

Piano, voice, and instrumental students between the ages of 12 and 25 competed for a chance to perform with the Ocala Symphony Orchestra during a subscription concert in March.

After the performances, 20-year-old pianist Elisabeth Thomashoff (senior division) and 12-year-old violinist Kye Richardson (junior division) were announced as the winners.

Thomashoff and Richardson will both perform their concerto live with the Ocala Symphony Orchestra at its subscription concert “The Unfinished” on Saturday, March 19 at 7:30 p.m., and on Sunday, March 20 at 3 p.m.
