Artist Cosby Hayes is making progress on the mural that will decorate the west and south-facing walls of the E.D. Croskey Recreation Center (1510 NW 4th Street).
Hayes and literary artist Cynthia Wilson-Graham attended community meetings in September and October last year to collect input on the mural’s design.
Wilson-Graham is documenting the entire process, and the result will be included in an educational brochure that will be distributed to Marion County Public Schools upon completion of the mural.
The City of Ocala offers many visual art opportunities in city spaces. The public art is complimentary and is intended for everyone to enjoy.
