An armed woman was shot by a Marion County Sheriff’s Office deputy near the entrance of AdventHealth Ocala on Tuesday morning.

According to an MCSO release, the female driver refused to stop, and deputies were in pursuit of the vehicle.

The driver called 911 and stated that she was suicidal. She also mentioned that she was on her way to AdventHealth Ocala.
