Ocala police asking for help identifying Paddock Mall jewelry store theft suspects

The Ocala Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying two individuals who are suspected of stealing from a local store.

According to an OPD Facebook posting, the man and woman pictured below both entered a jewelry store inside Paddock Mall and stole six 10-karat gold chains valued at $9,400.

A store employee had pulled out a tray of gold chains for the man and woman to view. When the employee briefly turned around, the woman grabbed the chains and ran out of the store.

The man had dark hair, wore a red scarf-like face mask, a dark jacket with a large colorful imprinted image on the back, jean shorts, and multi-colored sneakers that were primarily black and white.

The woman had bright red hair, a light-colored face mask, a tan canvass-style jacket, a black undershirt, and light blue jeans.

They both spoke Spanish, and the woman also spoke English.
