A team-based strength and fitness challenge is returning to Ocala this weekend.
The fourth annual GRIT Strength Challenge is being held on Saturday, February 5 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Fort King National Historic Landmark located at 3925 E Fort King Street.
Event participants will compete in three-person teams, and they will utilize primitive objects that were available during the Florida Seminole War period of 1817 through 1858.
According to Ocala Recreation and Parks, the event is a combination of strongman, Highland Games, and CrossFit with logs and barrels.
Registration is currently open for teams that wish to compete, and spectators are also welcome.
