The City of Ocala is soliciting quotes for an experienced vendor to provide deep cleaning and pressure washing services for the downtown parking garage located at 201 E Fort King Street.
The request for quotes is currently posted through the City of Ocala’s Procurement and Contracting Office and runs through Friday, February 25 at 2 p.m.
According to the scope of work outlined in the request, the project entails blowing out any excess debris from the parking garage floors and stairwells, pretreating any oil stains, pressure cleaning all parking garage floors with 3,500 to 4,000 psi machines and surface cleaners, rinsing any remaining residue, reclaiming contaminated water (water containing degreasers or chemicals cannot be washed into the streets), pressure washing all stairwells, and pressure washing all walls on the top floors that are exposed to the elements.
The vendor must have three years of experience in providing parking lot and garage cleaning services.
According to the city, the parking garage was constructed in 2015 and these cleaning services have never been completed. The garage consists of 401 parking spaces, three levels, and two stairwells.
Since the parking garage must be closed during the deep cleaning, the proposed work schedule would be on a weekday and preferably between the hours of 11 p.m. to 6 a.m.
