UDEST agent arrests two Ocala men after multiple drugs found inside vehicle

A Unified Drug Enforcement Strike Team agent arrested two Ocala men after multiple drugs were found inside their vehicle.

On Wednesday, February 2, the UDEST agent observed a silver Chevrolet pickup truck near the 1100 block of NW 10th Street in Ocala. According to the UDEST report, the truck’s tinted windows appeared to be too dark.

As the agent drove closer, the truck crossed two lanes of traffic and pulled into the parking lot of the Hardee’s located at NW 10th Street and N Pine Avenue.

The agent spotted the truck as it exited the parking lot and began to travel east on NW 10th Street. The agent conducted a traffic stop at the 7 Days Food Store located at 2002 NW 1st Avenue.

The driver, Antonio Maurice Jamison, opened the door and stuck his feet partially outside of the truck. Jamison asked why he was being stopped, and the agent noticed a clear plastic baggie that contained white pills near the driver’s side door.

Jamison was detained outside of the vehicle. While the agent was placing handcuffs on Jamison’s wrists, the passenger, Raheem J. Sessions, exited the truck and began running into the nearby woods behind the store.

The agent observed Sessions as he removed an item from his pants and threw it into the woods. The UDEST report stated that the agent ran after Sessions, attempted to grab him, and Sessions’ clothing ripped.

Sessions turned around and struck the agent in the face in an attempt to push the agent away. The agent grabbed Sessions’ leg and was eventually able to detain him.

Another UDEST agent arrived on scene with a K-9 partner. An open-air sniff was conducted around the exterior of the truck, and the K-9 agent detected the presence of narcotics.

The K-9 agent also located a baggie near the area where Sessions had thrown the item. The baggie contained tablets that field-tested positive for MDMA, and the total weight of those tablets was 30.5 grams.

During a search of the vehicle, the baggie near the driver’s side door was examined. It contained pills that were later identified as Acetaminophen and Oxycodone Hydrochloride.

A black zipper bag was located in the back floor of the vehicle behind the center console. It contained a clear baggie that was filled with 102.5 grams of marijuana, a clear baggie that was filled with an unspecified purple-colored powder, and another clear baggie that was filled with a white rock-like substance that later field-tested positive for cocaine.

A digital scale was also found inside the vehicle and it was covered in marijuana residue.

Jamison was arrested, transported to Marion County Jail, and he was later released on $38,000 bond. He is facing felony charges for trafficking of a controlled substance, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, and possession of a controlled substance.

A court date for Jamison has not been scheduled yet, according to jail records.

Sessions was arrested and transported to Marion County Jail where he is currently being held without bond. He is facing felony charges for trafficking of a controlled substance, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, and resisting arrest with violence.

A court date for Sessions has been scheduled on Tuesday, March 8 at 9 a.m., according to jail records.
