Brick City Center for the Arts hosting free workshop on state funding for local arts organizations

State funding for local arts organizations will be the topic of discussion during a free workshop that is being held in Ocala this week.

The event begins at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, March 8 at the Brick City Center for the Arts located at 23 SW Broadway Street.

The State of Florida appropriates millions of dollars for arts programs, general program support, and facilities each year. The application portal for the 2023-2024 grant cycle will be open beginning on Friday, April 1 through Wednesday, June 1.

During the event, Danila Coppola, the Arts Consultant for the Florida Division of Arts and Culture, will go over the grant opportunities, timeline, eligibility requirements, and guidelines. She will then discuss the selection process and reporting criteria, and she will also answer any questions.

The event is free to attend, and registration is required.
