MCSO looking for missing endangered elderly man

Update from MCSO: Tomas Henry Ratner has been located safe in another county.

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing and endangered elderly man.

According to an MCSO release, on Wednesday at around 12:45 p.m., 82-year-old Tomas Henry Ratner was last seen leaving his residence located in the 8000 block of SW 94th Lane in Ocala. He was last seen wearing a white V-neck shirt, khaki pants, black shoes, and prescription glasses.

Tomas suffers from a traumatic brain injury that can cause seizures if his medication is not taken regularly. He left his residence without his medication or his walker, which has caused his family and law enforcement to be concerned for his safety.

He also mentioned Gainesville to his spouse prior to leaving the residence.

Tomas is 5’11”, weighs approximately 190 pounds, and he has white hair and brown eyes.
