Marion County Fire Rescue hiring EMTs and paramedics

Marion County Fire Rescue is looking to hire EMTs and paramedics.

The organization will conduct hiring over the coming weeks for single certified EMTs/Paramedics, dual certified Firefighters/EMTs, and dual certified Firefighters/Paramedics.

According to MCFR, the proposed starting salaries for each position will be presented to the Marion County Board of County Commissioners for approval or denial during its upcoming regular meeting in April. The proposed starting salaries are listed below:

  • Firefighter/EMT: $14.00 per hour ($41,972 annually) with a possible additional transport stipend of $2,248.
  • Firefighter/Paramedic: $16.68 per hour with a $2.00 per hour transport stipend ($50,014 annually). There is a possible additional transport stipend of $5,997.
  • EMT: $13.75 per hour ($37,400 to $39,765 annually depending on Kelly Day assignment).
  • Paramedic: $17.68 per hour ($48,089 to $51,130 annually depending on Kelly Day assignment).
