MCPS Parent Partnership event coming to Dunnellon High School

Marion County Public Schools is hosting an event this weekend for parents and families who are looking for community help with physical fitness and beating the summer learning slide.

On Saturday, March 26 at 9 a.m., MCPS is continuing its ‘Parent Partnership’ series of events at Dunnellon High School located at 10055 SW 180th Avenue Road in Dunnellon.

This weekend’s event focuses on physical education and addressing the summer learning slide that some students experience. The event runs until 12 p.m. and includes free snacks, giveaways, and resources.

The school with the highest ratio of parents in attendance will claim a traveling trophy that stays with the school until the next Parent Partnership event.

Limited bus transportation to the event is available for parents and children who are at least 5 years old.

Registration is not required to attend the event, but it will reserve a seat for the chosen session and bus stop. To register, visit the MCPS Parent Partnership (English) or MCPS Parent Partnership (Spanish) webpages.

According to MCPS, the Parent Partnership sessions showcase district efforts to build stronger relationships with families, schools, and the community.
