The First Friday Art Walk is returning to downtown Ocala this week.
The walk is being held on Friday, April 1 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. in and around Ocala’s Historic Downtown Square.
The event will feature local artists selling their works throughout the downtown area, live music including a performance on the downtown square by guitarist Ecliff Telford, and hands-on art activities and demonstrations for all ages provided by local non-profit and cultural organizations.
During the three-hour event, a Levitt AMP Ocala Music Series launch party will also be hosted at the Brick City Center for the Arts courtyard (23 SW Broadway Avenue). Visitors are encouraged to stop by for snacks, beverages, and to learn about the upcoming music series.
Multiple downtown businesses are extending their hours of operation for this week’s event. If there is inclement weather, the event will be cancelled.
The First Friday Art Walk series takes place on the first Friday of each month through May 6.
