Florida Aquatics Swimming & Training (FAST) recently held a grand opening event to give the community a preview of the new facility in southwest Ocala which officially opens next week.
The swimming and training facility, which is located on SW 80th Avenue in the new master-planned Calesa Township community, includes an indoor 10-lane 50-meter/25-yard competition pool and a 7-lane 50-meter/25-yard/25-meter outdoor competition pool.
The facility can accommodate up to 2,000 spectators, and also includes a 2,475 square-foot dryland fitness center.
During the grand opening event, the community was invited to explore the facility. Attendees were able to meet the coaching staff and sign up for various FAST swim programs including the FAST Falcons, the official competitive swim club of FAST.
In addition to membership and program sign-ups, everyone in attendance was able to test out the water in the facility’s outdoor pool which was designed by Myrtha Pools. Children also enjoyed the outdoor splash pad.
On Tuesday, April 5, FAST will officially open its doors to the public.
