Lunch with archaeologist event returning next week to Fort King National Historic Landmark

A new Lunch with the Archaeologist event will be held at the Fort King National Historic Landmark next week.

An archaeologist from the Gulf Archaeology Resource Institute will lead the lunch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, April 21, at the landmark, located at 3925 E Fort King Street.

There is no cost to attend the event and it is open to the public. Pack a lunch, bring a lawn chair, and join the archeologist to talk about the artifacts that have been found on site at Fort King and throughout the state of Florida.

There will also be time for a question-and-answer session.
