Fort King National Historic Landmark hosting preservation event

Attendees will be able to learn about different preservation techniques during an upcoming event at the Fort King National Historic Landmark.

On Saturday, April 30 at 10 a.m., the Fort King National Historic Landmark (3925 E Fort King Street in Ocala) is hosting its Preservation Clinic. The event is in celebration of National Preservation Week which focuses on taking action to preserve personal, family, and community collections along with library, museum, and archive collections.

During the event, Fort King’s experts will talk about historical and archaeological preservation techniques. Each attendee will also learn how to research and record personal family history from the Marion County Public Library.

The event is free to attend, and all ages are welcome. No registration is required.
