Prior to the arrival of deputies, Moore had fled the scene in a vehicle. A deputy located Moore in the area of NE Jacksonville Road and NE 24th Street, and a traffic stop was attempted.

According to the MCSO report, Moore continued to drive away from deputies at a normal rate of speed. He refused to stop, and one of the deputies attempted to conduct a P.I.T. maneuver at Magnolia Avenue.

The maneuver was unsuccessful, and Moore drove away at a high rate of speed onto N U.S. Highway 441. Another deputy attempted a P.I.T. maneuver on Moore’s vehicle, and he maintained control of the vehicle and continued traveling northbound on N U.S. Highway 441.

Deputies deployed stop sticks on N U.S. Highway 441, near Highway 326, which successfully struck the tires on Moore’s vehicle. He continued traveling northbound and turned onto NE 95th Street.

A deputy successfully conducted a P.I.T. maneuver near the 300 block of NE 95th Street, and Moore’s vehicle spun out. Moore then proceeded to back his vehicle into one of the deputy’s patrol cars, and his vehicle came to a rest.

Moore was removed from the vehicle, arrested, and transported to Marion County Jail where he is currently being held on $7,000 bond. He is facing felony charges for aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer and fleeing and eluding a law enforcement officer.

A court date has not been scheduled yet, according to jail records.
