The Marion County Sheriff’s Office is hosting a hiring event this week for graduating high school seniors who are interested in a career in law enforcement.
On Thursday, May 12, the 2022 High School Senior Career Expo is being held from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the MCSO multipurpose room, which is located at 3290 NW 10th Street in Ocala.
Attendees will be able to apply for civilian and sworn positions. In addition to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, the Ocala Police Department, Belleview Police Department, and Dunnellon Police Department will also be at the event to speak with attendees and to answer any questions.
According to MCSO, employee benefits for each position include retirement, a wellness program, generous leave time, educational achievement pay, tuition reimbursement, and insurance (health, dental, life, and vision).
Each applicant must meet the following prerequisites:
- Must be 18 years old.
- Must have a high school diploma or GED.
- Must possess a valid Florida driver’s license.
- Must be a United States citizen.
