Deborah Duerr Wright

Deborah “Kip” Duerr Wright went to God Saturday, May 7, 2022 after a valiant fight with Alzheimer’s. Born December 15, 1943 in South Bend, IN. to Louise S. and Clayton Storm Duerr. Married James T. Wright, DVM in Coral Gables, FL. and helped raise 2 children. Robert J. Wright II (Colleen) and Jocelyn W. Richburg (John) and loving her grandsons James T. III, Timothy and Christopher Wright and Chase (Nichole), Riley (Paige), and Bryce Richburg as well as great grandson John Sanders Richburg.

Early in their marriage she was senior secretary of Miami’s Down Town Development Authority, after which she managed and ran the family’s Wright Arabian Stud which after destruction by Hurricane Andrew became Windswept Farm before their move to Weirsdale, FL in 1999 where it was renamed Aradobe Farm for “retirement” which never happens to animal people.

Kip was an accomplished horsewoman, Doberman exhibitor and obedience trainer. Her love for animals was endless and deep.

On Sunday May 15th a Memorial Service and gathering of friends will be at GRAND OAKS RESORT CHAPEL, 3000 Marion County Road, Weirsdale, Florida, 32195 from 2 to 4 PM with Pastor Mark Gould and her family. A dish of finger food or a desert would be welcomed.
