Mable Mary (Auer) Schuchart, 98, of Cedar Park, Texas (formerly of Ocala, FL) passed away peacefully on May 2, 2022. She was born on January 20, 1924 in Baltimore, MD to the late Bertie (Wills) and Charles Auer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of more than 58 years, Benjamin Schuchart and her sister Thelma (Auer) Gregory.

Mable married Benjamin Charles Schuchart on August 11, 1946 in Baltimore, MD. Five years after they wed, they moved south to Jacksonville, FL. After spending time in Jacksonville, North Miami, Hollywood and Margate, Ben and “Mabe”, as he affectionately called her, settled in Ocala. Mable enjoyed bowling. She bowled in two Ocala bowling leagues until the age of 90! She also loved to crochet, making afghans for many friends and family members over the years. Mable was always up for a lunch date and she never turned down an opportunity to go shopping but her favorite thing to do was to visit with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was adored by her caregivers and will be missed by many.

Mable is survived by her daughter, Barbara Ann “Bobbie” (Bob) Stasswender of Austin Texas, and by her three grandchildren: Jody (Joey) McMurry of Cibolo, Texas; Dale (Sara) Wagner of California Maryland; and Wendy (Joel) Dunn of Spring, Texas. She is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.

Services will be held Saturday, May 14th, with a gathering at 12:00 noon and burial at 1:00 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home and Memory Gardens, 5740 South Pine Avenue, Ocala, Florida 34480.
