Brian E. Burkholder was born November 21, 1949, in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania and passed away on May 9, 2022, in Ocala, Florida. He attended Stroudsburg Area School District.
He was a humble man who loved the outdoors, boating, fishing & playing golf. In his younger days, he was an all-star baseball pitcher who was known for his many no-hitters. He was an expert carpenter who took great pride in his work. Friends and customers adored him, and the conversation was always filled with laughter and jokes. He loved life even when things were rough. He always smiled and said, “I’m ok, don’t worry about me”, even in his last days. His eyes were ocean blue with a twinkle that let you know his love for life. He loved his wife and took his vows seriously, through sickness and health, for richer and poorer. He would often buy her flowers just to say, “I love you”. He dreamed big but lived within his means. If you needed anything, he was your go to person. Even in the end when he was not feeling well, he continued with life without complaints. His family was blessed to watch the example he set and want to honor him by saying, husband, dad, brother, uncle, pop pop and friend, thank you for who you were, for the memories you helped make, for the love you shared and for the special times you blessed us with, even in your last days….you were simply AMAZING!
Brian is preceded in death by his parents Margaret Irene & Harold Elwood Burkholder, brothers Fred Burkholder and Terry Burkholder, grandchild Amanda and great grandchild Elijah.
He is survived by his loving wife Sharon, his children Brian Jr, David, Kelly (Tony) Giamoni, and Kimberly Ujvary, sisters Linda Maloney, Debbie Roberts, and Nan (Dave) Panton, grandchildren Caryssa, Avangeline, Emalene, Kate, Kelton, Jennika, Austin, Ashley, Shealyn, Bradley and Erica, great grandchildren – Zayden, Dominic, Amelia, nieces and nephews – Jacqui (Jason)Waddle, Chris (Jennifer) Pennington, Kyle (Shary)Maloney, Justin Burkholder, James Burkholder, several cousins, great nieces & great nephews.
