The City of Ocala Recreation and Parks Department is hosting another installment of its popular therapeutic cooking class next week.
The cooking class will be held on Thursday, June 2 from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Barbara Gaskin Washington Adult Activity Center, which is located at 210 NW 12th Avenue.
The class will present participants with an opportunity to socialize and learn their way around the kitchen while working together to prepare a meal. It will also emphasize concepts such as nutrition, meal planning, budgeting, and safe food handling.
According to a social media update from the city, next week’s class will focus on baking.
The deadline to register for the class is on Thursday, May 26. There is a $5 fee, and anyone ages 6 and up can participate.
