City of Ocala announces temporary closure of Customer Service Office due to COVID-19 exposure

The City of Ocala has announced that its Customer Service Office lobby on the first floor of the Citizens Service Center (201 SE 3rd Street) will be closed to the public effective immediately.

According to a press release from the city, the temporary closure is due to a confirmed COVID-19 exposure that is affecting multiple employees. The Customer Service Office is expected to reopen on Tuesday, May 31 at 7:30 a.m.

In-person municipal services transactions have been temporarily suspended at this location. Customers are being asked to conduct business via phone, online channels, self-service kiosks, Fidelity Express, and MoneyGram locations.

Customers may use these channels to start and stop services, transfer residential services, request a payment extension, update contact information, view rate and fee information, and sign up for autopay and electronic billing. Customers can make phone payments via the automated phone system at 844-286-1785.

The City of Ocala’s Growth Management and Community Development Services departments, which are located on the second floor of the Citizen Service Center, will remain open to the public. Customers needing to access the second floor will be able to enter the first-floor lobby and use the elevator to the second floor.
