‘Journey to My Soul: Landscapes of My Mind’ art exhibit opens in Ocala

A new art exhibit featuring minimalist landscapes and water pieces is now on display in Ocala.

The exhibit, ‘Journey to My Soul: Landscapes of My Mind’ by artist Kelley Batson-Howard, is currently on display at the Recreation and Parks Administration building (828 NE 8th Avenue) and the Eighth Avenue Adult Activity Center (830 NE 8th Avenue).

There is no cost to check out the exhibit, and it will remain on display Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., through Tuesday, September 13.

According to a press release from the city, contemporary painter Batson-Howard was born in Alabama and moved to Central Florida in 1988. She is a self-taught, abstract artist who currently works from her studio in Eustis and is available by appointment.
