Two people were trauma alerted to a local hospital on Saturday night after a motorcycle crashed into an SUV on SW College Road in Ocala.
Shortly after 10 p.m., Ocala Police Department officers responded to the 3300 block of SW College Road due to reports of a two-vehicle collision.
According to the police department, the motorcycle had two occupants: a male rider and female passenger. The motorcycle was traveling westbound in the center lane.
The SUV, a Chevrolet Suburban, was leaving the Olive Garden located at 3363 SW College Road. The driver attempted to make a left turn onto SW College Road when the motorcycle crashed into the SUV.
The motorcycle’s rider and passenger were both trauma alerted to a local hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash. The rider was in critical condition while the passenger’s condition was listed as stable.
The occupants of the SUV were not injured in the accident.
The crash is currently under investigation.
