Crystal River resident discusses impact of county’s growth on wildlife

To the Editor:

I understand that growth is necessary. I understand that the building of roads is necessary. What I don’t understand is why the politicians need to build the county up with so many developments and then they don’t make arrangements for the wildlife. Turtles are being run over on the roads, and I’m starting to see deer now on the side of the highways.

We don’t need all these shopping centers and apartment complexes here. I like the trees and I like the small town business owners. Not everyone wants big chain industries here.

I want to buy from local farmers. Keep America working and keep farming.
