Marion County firefighters sprang into action to extinguish a fire at the Paddock Park South mobile home park in Ocala on Thursday afternoon.
According to Marion County Fire Rescue, units were dispatched at approximately 1 p.m. due to reports of a structure fire at the mobile home park. The person who had called 911 indicated that smoke and flames were visible.
Within minutes, multiple MCFR units arrived on scene and deployed hose lines to combat the flames. Fire Chief James Banta also arrived on scene, established command, and designated Engine 16 as operations, according to a social media post from MCFR.
The firefighters worked quickly to extinguish the vehicle and structure fire.
The cause and origin of the fire is currently under investigation.
