Magnolia Art Xchange looking for new resident artists

The Magnolia Art Xchange (MAX) is currently looking for new resident artists.

MAX’s Resident Artist Program offers private studio rental spaces and is designed to encourage the creative and professional growth of emerging and mid-career artists. It presents a great opportunity for participating artists to grow their network within and around Ocala.

According to MAX, each resident artist has 24/7 access to a private studio with wireless internet, a portfolio photography booth, woodworking and framing tools, an art library, an artist wash-down and commercial sink area, a biography on MAX’s webpage, and exhibition opportunities, among other perks.

Anyone interested in this program must submit an application. An independent jury of art professionals outside Marion County will score the applications. The top ten applicants will be interviewed by the MAX selection committee, and six artists will be offered a studio rental.

The Magnolia Art Xchange is located at 531 NE 1st Avenue.

For more information, or to submit an application, visit the Magnolia Art Xchange’s Resident Artist Program webpage.
