Marion County Public Schools to host hometown hiring event

Marion County Public Schools will be hosting a hometown hiring event at three school locations on Tuesday, July 19, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

During the three-hour event, MCPS will be looking to hire teachers, support staff, team members for the Marion Afterschool Program, and team members for the transportation, custodial, and food service departments.

The following schools will be host sites for the event:

  • Belleview High School (10400 SE 36th Avenue in Belleview) will offer career opportunities at the following schools: Belleview High School, Belleview Middle School, Belleview Santos Elementary, East Marion Elementary, Emerald Shores Elementary, Harbour View Elementary, Lake Weir High School, and Lake Weir Middle School.
  • Fort King Middle School (545 NE 17th Avenue in Ocala) will offer career opportunities at the following schools: Fort King Middle School, Fessenden Elementary, Fort McCoy School, Howard Academy, Oakcrest Elementary, Sparr Elementary, Ward Highlands Elementary, and Wyomina Park Elementary.
  • Marion Oaks Elementary School (280 Marion Oaks Trail in Ocala) will offer career opportunities at the following schools: Marion Oaks Elementary School, Dunnellon High School, Hammett Bowen Elementary, Horizon Academy at Marion Oaks, Liberty Middle School, and West Port High School.
