The Marion County Parks and Recreation Department is accepting nominations to recognize those who have proudly served the Marion County community.
During the month of July, the county is celebrating National Park and Recreation Month to help showcase park staff, the park systems, and the variety of activities and programs that are provided throughout the year.
As part of this month-long celebration, Marion County residents are encouraged to submit nominees this week who have risen up in the name of service for the local community.
All nominations must be submitted via email to parks@marionfl.org with the subject line “Rise Up for Service.” In order to be eligible, the nominations must be received by no later than Thursday, July 7.
