‘Colorful Pleasures’ art exhibit opening at Ocala International Airport

A new exhibit by artist Christine Dozier will soon be on display at the Ocala International Airport.

The exhibit, titled ‘Colorful Pleasures,’ will arrive at the airport (1770 SW 60th Avenue, Suite 600) on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, and it will remain on display through Tuesday, January 17, 2023. There is no cost to view the exhibit and it is open to the public.

Originally from Memphis, Tennessee, artist Christine Dozier now resides in Ocala. She primarily worked in watercolors during the 1980’s before transitioning into oils and acrylics a decade later.

Dozier studied art at the Memphis College of Art, and she also earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Memphis. Over the past 20 years, she has worked as a behavioral health nurse.

Many of Dozier’s paintings, which include landscapes, abstracts, still life, animals, and pet portraits, now belong to private collections and can be found hanging in corporate offices throughout the United States. A local collection of her paintings can be viewed at the Gallery B Art Gallery on The Square.
