Preschoolers, parents invited to healthy eating class at Belleview Community Center

The Florida Department of Health in Marion County (DOH-Marion) is inviting parents and their preschoolers to attend a free class that will focus on nutritious eating habits.

The class, which is part of the ‘Harvest for Healthy Kids’ series, will be held on Monday, August 1, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., at the Belleview Community Center located at 5615 SE 110th Place in Belleview.

DOH-Marion offers the monthly classes to teach participants various tips and activities based on particular fruits or vegetables to help promote healthier eating habits for children. The theme of the upcoming class is ‘beans.’

There is no cost to participate in the class, and anyone interested in attending can click here to RSVP. The deadline to reserve a spot for the class is on Monday, July 25.
