Dr. Seuss characters coming to life at Ocala Civic Theatre

Several popular characters from Dr. Seuss will soon be brought to life at the Ocala Civic Theatre.

Beginning on Friday, July 29 through Sunday, July 31, the theater’s youth cast will take the stage for its latest production: Seussical Jr.

The Cat in the Hat will narrate the story of Horton the Elephant. During the musical, Horton will be tasked with protecting the Whos and guarding an abandoned egg that was left in his care by Mayzie La Bird.

The first performance will begin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, July 29. Two additional performances will be held over the weekend (Saturday, July 30 and Sunday, July 31) with a 2 p.m. start time for both shows.

Tickets cost $12 for adults (ages 19 and up), and $8 for ages 18 and younger.
